Today is #NationalCheeseburgerDay, a foodie holiday dear to our #Rumbelle hearts. A day for a #RumbelleHamburgerDate to trump all #RumbelleHamburgerDate s! So tonight, we decided to celebrate at Fuddrucker's, a high-class, do-it-yourself burger bar, if that's a decent way to phrase it.
We've always gone to Dao's for boba, but this time we had dinner, and it was TASTY. Pad Thai, hot & sour soup, spring rolls... All the tasty Thai you'd expect!
While at the street fair, we slipped in to the HUB, because if my wife has one weakness, it's... well, potatoes, but her other weakness is ice cream. The HUB Factory is another off-shoot of the HUB Ice Creamery & Restaurant, a local favourite. So, HEY. How could this possibly go wrong?
One of my wife's favorite recipes is my homemade yellow Thai-style curry. It's her usual when we go out for curry, and I've been perfecting it, until it tastes better than restaurant curry! This could just be flattery, but she inhales it quite happily every time I make it.
Mmmmm... Freshly baked baked goodies. Yummy. More bakery noms today: Writer's date at Panera bread, one of our favorites. Did you know that they have clam chowder on Fridays? It's one of Cookie's weaknesses.
On the list of awesome local flavors that you have to try here in Tucson, I introduce you to Bruegger's Bagels, boasting authentic New York-style, fresh-baked bagels, tasty-as-hell sammies, and a Brueggerccino to make you switch from Starbucks.
